Kate Morris is a Canadian artist working in acrylic on canvas. In addition to painting, her art practice includes contemporary art quilts and surface design.

Throughout her career, Kate has enjoyed and prioritized working with people to share her knowledge and love of art and craft.

A quilt instructor for many years and co-author of an introductory quilt manual, Kate explored many aspects of surface design, including batik to enhance her fibre art practice.

In addition, she set up and facilitated art programs for adults with mental handicaps and physical disabilities.

Kate has participated in the Northumberland Hills Studio Tour which takes place in September every year.

She loves to welcome people into her home studio in the picturesque town of Port Hope, Ontario.

Kate studied fine art at the University of Guelph and drawing and painting at OCAD University.
